NAXCOM
Shipping Policies
Seller's on NAXCOM are expected to ship their sold items out within 3 business days. Seller's are also expected to ship their sold items with proper packaging to ensure a safe delivery. Some suggestions are listed below when shipping certain items.
SINGLE
CARDS: At a minimum, all single cards should be sent in a penny/soft
sleeve and a top loader, taped at the top to prevent the card from
sliding out. Bubble-mailing envelopes are recommended for extra
security so the item will not be damaged in transit.
MULTIPLE
SINGLE CARDS: For multiple single cards (up to 10 cards), we strongly
recommend the taping of the top loaders together and the use of a
bubble-mailing envelope. For multiple single cards (greater than 10),
we recommend the use of a small box (i.e. small card storage boxes)
with appropriate packing material for the box.
GRADED
CARDS: It is fairly common for graded cardholders to break or be
scratched during shipping if not properly packaged. Therefore, all
graded cards should be placed in graded-size team bags, sealed at the
top, or wrapped in a paper-towel or some other type of protective packaging around the holder. The item should then be shipped within a padded envelope or bubble-mailing envelope
for extra protection.
WAX BOXES/SETS/DIE-CAST: Ship all items in sturdy boxes and if loosely
packed, include proper packing material to secure the item.
Packing material like bubble wrap, foam ‘peanuts’ and newspapers are
recommended.
BEANIE BABIES/PLUSH TOYS: With Beanie Babies in particular, make sure to
use a plastic tag protector (damaged tags will reduce a beanie’s value)
before packing them. We also recommend the use of card storage boxes
(400 count boxes work well for single beanies) to ship the toys, but bubble
envelopes or well-wrapped Beanie Baby in a regular envelope will suffice.
AUTOGRAPHS: There are many items that fit into this category. For photos,
we recommend shipping the photos in photo top loaders, taped at the top to
prevent the signed picture/photo from coming out of the holder. Also permitted
is a soft plastic sleeve with a cardboard backing, taped shut to prevent the
picture/photo from coming out of the holder. For other, more tangible items,
like baseballs, basketballs, pucks, jerseys, etc., the key is to make sure the
item(s) are well secured in its box. Packing material like bubble wrap, foam ‘peanuts’ and newspapers are recommended. Signatures can smudge rather easily
in transit, so be sure to secure them in the box before closing it up for shipping.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Insurance - In addition to the appropriate packaging of the item, the seller is responsible for insurance. The buyer pays insurance on all items over $10. It is the seller's choice to pay the Post Office or Self Insure their item to their buyer. The Seller should also always include the transaction #'s
on or in the package. In the case of a poorly packed card that is damaged in transit, the seller may be held responsible to pay all transaction fees plus the cost of returning the damaged card.
*Executing More Than 3 Buy Offers From The Same Buyer: If a seller executes 3 or more buy offers of the same buyer and ships them altogether, the seller is required to reimburse the buyer 30% of the total shipping. The seller can send a reimbursement with the items, however, NAXCOM recommendeds that the seller contacts NAXCOM to adjust the money through the accounts at CustomerCare@naxcom.com.
*No S/H Will Be Charged: To prevent seller's from executing buy offers one at a time, a seller will not receive any S/H fees for executing the exact same buy offer within a 7 day period.
SAVE TIME & MONEY!: NAXCOM used to use Stamps.com, however, recently switched over to a new Postal Site called Endicia.com. Using Endicia has allowed NAXCOM to print the postage, including insurance, directly from its computer and printer onto a label (label is purchased at Office Depot - Avery 5168). This way there is no need to ever go to the Post Office and instead the label can be directly placed on the package and dropped in any mailbox.
Endicia.com costs $16 per month, however, you also save money on insurance. Insurance is only .65 cents for each $100 rather than the $1.40 at the Post Office. The other advantage is that in the event that you have to file an insurance claim you can do it Online at Endicia, rather than having to go to the Post Office. If you ship out a decent amount of items each month, you will save a lot of time and money with Endicia. Click on the link below to start saving time & money.
